Tell Your Legislator You Want VGTs For Indiana

Your legislator may not know VGTs are important to your business. Contacting your legislator may seem like a waste of time, but it is very important to the legislative process. Here are a few reasons you should make the effort:

1. Your legislators want to hear from you.

Indiana legislators are passionate about their communities, and you, their constituent. They want to hear about the things that matter to you and your business. State legislators are not “career politicians” and are genuine in their service to the State and their community.

2. Legislators want to tell you about their projects.

A conversation with your legislator should be a two-way street. They want to tell you about the initiatives that are most important to them and get your feedback.

3. Legislation doesn’t get passed without support.

Lobbyists don’t get things done in the Indiana legislature; voters do. If something is introduced to a legislator and they haven’t heard anything from back home about it, they are very skeptical. They need to know their community supports the action. That means they need to hear from you.
