Indiana Amusement and Music Operators Association (IAMOA) presents the 2022 Wayne Cunningham Award to John Willey of 19th Star State Solutions, LLC. John has worked tirelessly for the past six years to bring video gaming terminals to Indiana.
Working with IAMOA leadership, John has built a coalition of legislators who support VGTs and has ensured legislators consider small businesses when making gaming legislation. Although House Bill 1548 did not pass this session, John was able to take several steps in the right direction for the future of VGTs.
With over 25 years of experience, John has developed expertise in lobbying, state, and federal relations, crisis management, grassroots advocacy, campaign/political strategy, and as well as the establishment of political action committees.
Wayne Cunningham played a crucial role in shaping the IAMOA tournaments into what they are today. We continue to honor his legacy by presenting this award to those who make a notable impact on IAMOA throughout the year.
