We are writing with exciting news – our fight to legalize video gaming terminals in Indiana now has a bill – House Bill 1662, introduced by Representative Beau Baird and co-authored by Representative Ed Clere. It has now been referred to the Public Policy Committee for consideration.

With video gaming terminals, Hoosiers win. A recent study by Union Gaming showed legalization would support 32,000 jobs in the state and have a $700 million economic impact. The same study showed small businesses would hugely benefit, with VGT’s generating $40,000 - $70,000 in net revenue per location annually. This is not including increased food and drink revenue, from players and their friends coming earlier and staying longer.
Local governments would benefit as well. VGT’s could bring another $165 million annually in tax revenue to our local governments that could be invested in roads, schools, and safety. Video Gaming Terminals don’t just benefit our businesses – they benefit our entire community.
